Principal's Welcome

I extend a warm welcome to Killyhommon Primary School’s website, which aims to give you a glimpse into the life and work of our school. I hope you enjoy finding out about life here.

Killyhommon Primary School is a warm welcoming school. It is a school where the children receive the very best education, with a consistently high level of pupil achievement, preparing pupils for the challenges, opportunities, responsibilities and experiences to come. The staff are hardworking and are a great team. They have the children’s best interests at heart and are very approachable. The school has a very homely feel to it.

The school and staff celebrate success in all areas of the broad and balanced curriculum. Each year there are new initiatives or curricular developments implemented to enhance the school even further.

At Killyhommon PS we provide high quality education founded on principles of inclusivity, mutual respect, honesty, loyalty, tolerance, compassion and Christian action at school, in the home, parish and in the wider community. We aim to develop the whole child, socially, emotionally, creatively, physically, academically and spiritually in an environment that that is safe and welcoming.

Education in Killyhommon PS takes place in a fully inclusive environment with equal opportunities for all and all the children learn to value themselves and others. Parents are kept fully informed of their child’s progress. The Board of Governors, staff and parents work as one team, for the one goal of achieving the best possible educational experiences for all children.
