P1-3 had a very busy day today at Florencecourt house. The children enjoyed meeting up with our new friends from ST. Patrick's PS and Derrygonnelly CPS. The children learnt what it was like 150 years ago in a big house as servants downstairs in the big house. The went to the kitchen, the laundry room, hung out the washing, cleaned and dusted before having fun with old toys and in the classroom with chalk boards. We really enjoyed our day out but overall the children decided they'd rather live now than in the past.
