Starting Back
Happy faces Keen to start.
Back together But staying apart.
Washing our hands Killing the germs.
Staying in bubbles Protects you from harm.
No more sharing It doesn't seem right.
The virus still here Keep up the fight.
Don't help your friend Don't come too near.
Don't touch that The element of fear.
Although there are don'ts There are plenty of dos.
Like listening to stories And eating school stew.
There's chatting to friends And playing outside.
Laughter and fun Smiles beaming wide.
There's counting and reading And finding out too.
Making and painting And trips to the loo!
Assemblies on whiteboards Dinners in class.
Wash your hands quickly But don't be too fast.
So yes things are different But it has to be said.
It's great being back (Except the early from bed)
So lets help our children To be happy, stay cool!
To not be afraid
But to love being at school.
