We had a wonderful morning with some very special visitors at Killyhommon PS. Some members of the Fermanagh Championship winning team, from Derrygonnelly Harps, called in to see the staff and children with their silverware. They had with them the Championship, Senior League and Junior League trophies. The players took the time to talk to the children and then they got lots of photographs! These photographs will be treasured for some time. One member of the team, Declan Cassidy, is the proud owner of 9 Championship medals (2004, 2009, 2015, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21 & 23.Plus 7 league medals from 2002, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2023) and Jarleth Flanagan has received his first Championship medal. Hopefully, it will be the first of many for him. To win even one championship medal takes a lot a hard work and dedication from the whole team and management. Shane Mc Gullion, who is a past pupil of the school, is the team captain. Thank you to all the players and management for taking the time out of their busy schedule to visit us. We wish the team and management the very best of luck in their next game against Kilcoo.
