We had a very special and emotional morning at our End of Year Mass. This was a beautiful occasion for all associated with Killyhommon PS. We celebrated the Mass with Fr Cathal followed by an address by Mrs Rasdale. The highlight of the day was the presence of Martin Treacy, a past pupil, and a key member of the very popular Tumbling Paddies Band. He spoke from the heart to the children, retelling them his memories from his time at Killyhommon PS and a special message to always remember and look out for your friends. Martin presented some very special awards to our magnificent P7 children. We continued this event back at the school for parents and P7 children to some refreshments and a showing of photographs from the P7s time at Killyhommon PS.
Martin called down and talked to the children and signed numerous autographs and posed for photographs with the children and some keen staff fans!
P1-6 children also received certificates in recognition of all their special talents.
This truly was a lovely morning. Thank you to all our wonderful staff who make this events such a success.
