P6/7 Visit to Enniskillen Castle
P6/7 had a wonderful morning in Enniskillen Castle learning all about World War 2. The tour guide Julian told them many interesting facts about World War 2. The children got to sit inside an Anderson Shelter and experience what it would have been like during an air raid. Julian showed them gas masks, bombs, helmets and equipment used by wardens. The children then went to the Museum where they got to see real-life memorabilia from World War 2 including rifles, uniforms and medals. Some of the children even took on the role of being the captain and the trainee. Julian was very impressed by the interest shown by the children in the topic of World War 2. A very informative morning for everyone.
