The P7s had a lovely retreat to Lough Derg today along with the P7 class from St.Patricks Derrygonnelly. The children learned about the history of the island and how it became such a special place of pilgrimage. They also took part ice-breaker and team activities, they created personalised candle holders and gained a deeper understanding of the Sacrament of Confirmationin through discussions and prayer.
A massive thank you to Mary McDaid and all the staff at Lough Derg for facilitating this wonderful day out for the children and also to Fr Cathal who organised it. They all thoroughly enjoyed it with some saying that they will return some day to do the pilgrimage!
